In Mediazine hebben we de laatste tijd veel laten zien over de nieuwste TV's en Blu-rays, maar ja wat is goed beeld zonder goed geluid? Dus daar gaat het over in deze aflevering. Het belangrijkste onderscheid dat we kunnen maken in geluid is, stereo of surround. Stereo betekent met twee speakers, eigenlijk uit één richting en surround betekent letterlijk, rondom. Dan komt het geluid dus van alle kanten. Dat surround wordt ook wel 5.1 genoemd. Vooral films klinken met al die special effects een stuk mooier met surround geluid, maar ook steeds meer uitzendingen via digitale televisie klinken gewoon beter in surround. De ingebouwde speakers in de nieuwste TV's zijn zeker niet slecht, maar doordat televisies steeds platter worden, blijft er minder ruimte over om echt goeie kwaliteit speakers in te bouwen.
